Razer Pro Click V2 Vertical Review: Hybrid Game Mouse

Switch to Vertical mice are a huge selling point. You need to change it How to use the mouse It can be a completely intimidating task, especially about how unnatural a new hand position feels at first. You are totally against the memory of the muscle you spent years.

One of the biggest challenges for switches is the initial loss of pointer accuracy. If you’re in an office environment, you may find yourself moving around as fast as before or having a new mouse struggling to move. But with such a slow-paced setting, all you’re struggling is a few false clicks or slightly slower navigation. When you try to make this transition in the game, it is much more jarring and the results become much more pronounced.

But can vertical mice become the future of gaming, even if they are difficult to adapt? Razer’s new Pro Click V2 Vertical Edition is a hybrid productivity and gaming vertical mouse. Vertical mice usually cater to office workers, but by focusing on gaming performance, you’ll have a $120 Pro Click V2 all in one.

The existence of a desk

Professionals click on the vertical look above all, like modern Gaming mouse. There is a slightly organic HR Giger-esque curvature typical of the outer texture, metal highlights, and Razer’s design language. But everything is changing. The curved, cutting thumb rest is on the mouse rather than on the side. The flare protrudes from the right side as a place to rest under the hand. Gunmetal highlights are at the peak of the mouse, not between the two buttons. Even the USB port is vertical and humorous attention to detail.

It is intentionally designed as a gaming mouse It just happens to be vertical. Aesthetically, the only drawback is minimal RGB lighting. There is only one section of lighting that runs along the bottom of the mouse, and RGB lighting fans may be disappointed. Still, it is bright, responsive and has very high color accuracy. That’s enough for me, especially to be customizable with Razer’s Chroma software.

Pro Click V2 Vertical has the same specifications as the standard Proclick v21,000 Hz polling rate, a 2.4-GHz dongle that can be stored on the bottom, a Bluetooth multi-device connection, and a reprogrammable button on the top. The only lost features are horizontal scrolling of the mouse wheel and switching non-lattite rotation.

This mouse includes two main productivity features: app-specific profiles and multi-device connections, both of which work effortlessly. Razer Synapse immediately detected different software, changed its active profile accordingly, instantly pressing the button under the mouse that was swapped between the paired devices.

Beyond that, the Razer Synapse is as impressive as ever. I consistently feel that software is one of the best and most intuitive things on the market, but here it is. All menus are simple and efficient, settings can be changed in real time, and all adjustments have tooltips and explanations to convey exactly what has changed.

The hassle is that Razer Synapse has ads on its homepage. Past Steelseries Products. However, unlike Steelseries GG, these “recommended” can be permanently disabled in the app settings.

Performance and practice

The overall hand position of the Pro Click V2 Vertical is natural, but it is incredibly upright. On the other hand, some vertical mice are like logitech or from glovesFinding the intermediate ground between the standard and the true “vertical” hand position, Razer chose the almost vertical shape. This is technically ideal ergonomic shape, but it is difficult to adapt when moving directly from a standard mouse and may not be very comfortable during the adjustment period.

It felt unnatural for the first week or so and required practice to use it comfortably and confidently. Upon adaptation, my speed and accuracy went to almost the same level as standard mice, but consistent use felt clumsy and unfamiliar compared to the horizontal mice I used for most of my life.
