Real Madrid Sign Dean Huizen of Bournemouth after activating the £50 million release clause
Bournemouth confirmed that Spanish defender Dean Huysen will join Real Madrid at the end of the season.
Young centre-back was Cherry’s outstanding performer this season, promoting Propel towards Andoniira Ola’s European location, earning his first international call in the process.

In a statement from the club, Bournemouth said: “AFC Bournemouth can confirm that defender Dean Huysen will join Real Madrid following the end of the 2024/25 season. The Spanish side has activated its £50 million release clause.
The centre-back, who joined Juventus’ Cherry last summer, has been instrumental in the club’s record-breaking campaign.
Huijsen has made 30 top flight appearances this season, scoring goals against Tottenham Hotspur, Manchester United and Arsenal.

The 20-year-old won his first cap for the Spanish national team in March.

Huijsen is considered a major target for Xabi Alonso, who is scheduled to take over in Madrid when Carlo Ancelotti leaves in the coming weeks.
He could partner with one of Eder Militao or Antonio Rudiger next season, adding the depth needed to defend the injured in the Spanish capital.
The Madrid statement read: “Real Madrid CF and AFC Bournemouth have reached an agreement on the relocation of player Dean Huysen, who will remain bound by our club for the next five seasons, from June 1, 2025 to June 30, 2030.
At 20, Dean Huissen is already an international Spanish player, playing in the Premier League with Juventus and Rome in the Italian Serie A and Bournemouth.
