Real Madrid’s mentality is different from Manchester United
Casemiro says there is a difference in mentality between Real Madrid and Manchester United, with the latter having to “adjust and grow” to reach the same level as the Spanish giants.
The Brazilian midfielder joined United from Madrid in August 2022, but after initially moving, he saw pale imitations of the players who won three Larigas and five Champions League titles at Santiago Bernabe .
He started yesterday when United lost to Tottenham 1-0. As a result, Reuben Amorim’s men came in 15th in the Premier League, in the midst of six wins in all of the tournaments.

The 32-year-old was asked if his mentality was the same as that of Madrid. “Of course there’s a difference. Real Madrid has a very strong victory mentality that is ingrained in its history. Culture is all about achieving greatness.
“Manchester United have a rich history and incredible fans, but Real Madrid is built to consistently win the Champions League title. United has an undeniable drive. , it takes a little longer to return to the level of European domination. It is to adapt and grow to reach these heights again. But commitment and professionalism are the same.”
Casemiro still hopes to end the season with the trophy
United remained in the Europa League and FA Cup, with last season’s title, and Casemiro says the trophy is still an ambition this year.
“No, it’s not (the same club we did 20 years ago), but it’s still a big club,” he added. “It is going through a transition, as every team does at a certain point in history.
“When I arrived, I saw the passion of the fans. It was something that really touched me. We may not be in the same dominance period as in the past decades, but Manchester United is It was a team that always fought something and shortened it. It was a big challenge and we’ll continue to fight for the trophy like last season.”
Brazilians aren’t surprised by the comeback of Madrid’s Etihad
Madrid is in the Champions League this season, earning a 3-2 advantage at Manchester City ahead of Game 2 of the knockout phase playoff game at the Bernabéu on Wednesday night.
Carlo Ancelotti’s men were chasing 2-1 at Etihad last week, and then two slow targets saw them change their tie.
Casemiro said: “That was not a surprise to me. Madrid almost always does it, and everyone knows the history of this team and what they can do.
“Madrid always plays to the end and never gives up. Even when I lost 2-1, I knew there were still many games to play. And it was the city and (PEP) Guardiola A great coach like that, but they did it.
“Now the return is done at the Bernabeu and you get a big result from 3-2. But that’s not easy. At Guardiola, they’re strong, but those Champions League night Bernabeu are very special. I want all the luck in the world to my ex-teammates, not just my rivalry with the city, but mostly for Madrid. Hopefully they reach the knockout stage Sho.”
