France offered little of the half in attacks, but it dealt a devastating blow just before the break. Aurelien Tchouameni floated a pinpoint pass over Mbappe. Mbappe skillfully controlled the left before digging the shot past Marc-Andre Ter Stegen.

The Barcelona goalkeeper reached out to it but was unable to prevent the ball from hiding in the far corner.

In the second half, Julian Nagelsmann’s side huffed and bulged, but struggled to replicate his first half performance.
