Reports, results, goals when the tournament is watching another goalless draw
Fluminense and Borussia Dortmund had a lively goalless draw at MetLife Stadium.
From the opening whistle, Fluminense took the initiative to early test Dortmund’s defense, especially carving open spaces where Arias looks dangerous and carves.
Within minutes, after he had already fired on the bar, Benseverini picked up the yellow card for a reckless challenge and set the tone of a lively contest.
Despite Dortmund’s slow start, they gradually grew into the game. Gross and Brandt linked neatly to the 33rd minute, and Brandt weaved the Fluminense backline before Fabio rejected him.
The assistant’s flag was raised for offside, but it was still a promising moment for the Germans.
On the other end, Fulminence continued to threaten. Martinelli came closest to the Brazilians in the first half and made a powerful long distance effort that dulled past the post.

Nonato and Arias both tested Kobel. Kobel was forced into several saves to maintain his scoreline level. A particularly busy stretch for the Dortmund Keeper came right after the 30-minute mark.
The second half was reopened at the front foot again at Fulminence. Hercules and Canobbio both worked hard on the goal, but their finish left much to be desired.
The collision between Evald and Kobel stopped playing for a moment, but Dortmund Stopper was able to continue after treatment.
As the game wore it, both managers turned to the bench. Dortmund handed his debut to Jobe Bellingham in the 60th minute, replacing Gross, and Nmecha also joined Adeyemi.
Fluminense responded with multiple changes of its own, including Cano and Serna entering the fray.
The outstanding moment in the second half came in the 69th minute when Kobel produced a spectacular double save, first denying Everaldo and then responded quickly to stop Nonato on a rebound.

Dortmund’s best chance arrived late. In the 85th minute, Ryerson whipped on a fine cross where he spotted Svenson, whose headers drifted narrowly.
Then, at the moment of death in suspension, Niklas Soule almost took the dramatic winner of BVB.
His powerful header, rising to the highest from the corner, was beautifully saved by Fabio, maintaining the deadlock and earning his side.
