Retired Daniel Jacobs is open to Jake Paul’s match: “I can put myself into shape” for a “fun battle.”

Daniel Jacobs says he’s interested in coming out of retirement to fight Jake Paul and fighting someone he can trust. Jacobs (37-5, 30 KOs), a 38-year-old former two-time middleweight champion, believes Paul (12-1, 7 KOs) is looking for “reliability” in his boxing career, but he needs someone like himself as his opponent to give it.

Reliability: Jacobs’ Offer

Jacobs retired last year in July after a unilateral 10-round decision loss to Shane Mosley Jr. However, he says his skills are still there and what he learned in his long professional career is still in his knowledge bank.

The question is whether Paul wants to risk fighting someone he trusts like Jacobs. Jacobs has power, and he has only retired for a year. He is 38 years old, but he is still very dangerous, especially in the early rounds.

“To fully judge Jake saying that he is not biased, unequipped, unhacked, and I’m not really feeling it, I can see it, or I can rather understand the claim,” said Daniel Jacobs.
