“I think he’s more confident and I think that confidence has made him a better person to fight,” Richard Trez Jr. said. SECONDOUT When asked what his thoughts about Guido Vianello was.
Guido’s battle with Efe Ajgagba and Arslanbek Makhmudov is what Torrez Jr. is talking about. The 30-year-old Vianello lost his battle with Ajagba in a 10-round split decision, but it was close and he showed a lot of hearts.
“He tried to hone some of his backhand punches, which is very good. I think he’s delved into his style very well,” said Torrez Jr. of Vianello. “He wants to stay outside because he’s a longer fighter. I’m the one who wants to go in and fight. I’m a guy about action.”
Vianello doesn’t have the kind of punching power that brought Richard Torres Jr. to problems during his amateur days. Torrez Jr was brutally knocked out in the first round in September 2019 by 6’7” Uzbek Bakhodir Jalolov in Russia.
“I want to show you what that sustainability and pressure can do to fighters, especially the heavyweight fighters in the later rounds,” Trez said. “I want to be a garden warrior rather than a gardener in war. I have the ability to violence, but I choose good things.
“I’m going to hit you as hard as I can to achieve what I want to achieve. I’m not saying no to fight, I really want to have the best fight, and I want to prove that I’m the best,” Torres Jr. said when asked about his thoughts when he was asked about his thoughts when he wanted to fight Guido Vianero.
