Rodeo legend “Superlooper” Roy Cooper died at 69 after a house fire

Roy Cooper was called a “Superlooper” between him The legendary rodeo careerHe passed away this week at the age of 69.
Cooper is considered the greatest roper ever and died in the fire of his property. Huntsville, Texas, Tuesday.
“It’s a great sadness for our family to share the death of our father, superlooper Roy Cooper,” Cooper’s son, TUF, wrote in a Facebook post. “We are all shocked at the words from this tragedy at this moment.”

Cooper began his career in 1976, winning the World Championships in his first National Finals. He won eight titles overall and was appointed Prorodeo Hall of Fame in 1979, just three years after his career.
TUF is a third generation rodeo star. Cooper’s parents were also Roper. Cooper’s mother was born on a ranch, and the family lived in New Mexico when he grew up.
The world of rodeo lamented Cooper’s death.
