Russia will intensify attacks on Ukraine during “critical” week for peace talks

“Last week we were trying to figure out how close these aspects are, and this is close enough to deserve a continuous investment of our time as a mediator in this respect,” Rubio said.
“This week is going to be a very important week. We need to decide whether this is an effort we want to continue to be involved in, or if it’s time to focus on where it’s not equally important, if not important,” he continued.
“We have made real progress, but the final couple’s steps on this journey have always been the most difficult,” Rubio said. “It needs to happen soon. Like I said, if it doesn’t happen, we can’t devote our time and resources to this issue.”
