Ryan Garcia: Finished. It’s finished. Will I ever come back?
Ryan Garcia is considered to have been washed by fans after losing to Rolando ‘Rolly’ Romero earlier this month on May 2nd. Social media star Garcia’s 15-minute fame due to his upset victory over Devin Haney last year ended after being dominated by a highly beaten and heavily flawed Rory (17-2, 13 KOs) in Times Square in New York City.
Rory made Ryan look limited and one-dimensional by robbing his proud left hook. Once the weapon was neutralized, the cupboard was exposed and there was no other tools Garcia used. There were no jabs or right hand from Ryan, and his footwork was horrifying.
He looked similar Frankenstein’s Monster With his stiff, upright movement. More skilled, more athletic fighters, such as Jaron Ennis, Brian Norman Jr. and Teofimo Lopez, are seeing some levels above Garcia.
Signs of Garcia’s mental breakdown
It’s annoying that Garcia doesn’t speak or show anger about his defeat. When we see the fighters quiet, it signal that they are mentally broken and have lost their self-confidence. Ryan should show his backbone, call out Rory and say he wants a rematch, and muddy the water like Haney had done. He will not be silent about his complaints after his loss.
Garcia lost to Romero with scores 115-112, 118-109 and 115-112. 118-109 was the most accurate of the three. It appeared Kingley raised the white flag of surrender after being knocked down in round two. He did nothing for the rest of the fight.
Kingley’s overwhelming view is that he can’t fulfill the promises he has shown by ending as a fighter, a fallen star, and return from this loss. Losing to Rolly was far worse than Garcia’s sixth knockout loss to Gervonta ‘Tank’ Davis in 2023.
According to ringRyan will undergo right side surgery in Los Angeles on Tuesday. Could this be the reason he lost to Rory? Sounds like a good excuse for him to run with.
Will there be a rematch for Ryan?
Ryan promoter Oscar de la Jolla ruled out a rematch with Haney in October. Oscar wants Ryan to have a rematch with Romero. However, his silence on this subject suggests that he does not want **’s second help by Rory. The loss left him in words, and he has not been seen since.
That’s there Ted Kaczynski Look where Ryan has fallen off the grid and probably disappears into a remote location. Hopefully that’s not the case.
De La Jolla may have to talk about Garcia through this to bring him back. But if this is it for him, he would leave the sport with an obscure, shattered dream of becoming a billionaire before retiring. Upon entering the match with Rory, Ryan was thought to destroy him and take care of Haney.
