“Duck Dynasty” Star Sadie Robertson honored his late grandfather, Phil Robertson, in a moving tribute shared shortly after his death on Sunday. He was 79 years old.
Phil is famous for establishing a duck commander hunting company that became his focus. A&E showpreviously battling multiple health conditions, including Alzheimer’s disease.
Sadie, who is pregnant with her third child along with her husband, Christian Huff, recalls the last words her “Papaw Phil” shared with her before her death and thanked her for supporting her family during difficult times.

The “Oops, good” podcast host wrote that she was overwhelmed by her reaction to her grandfather’s death, but felt peaceful to learn that he had impacted millions of lives.
“I wrote in my post yesterday that he touched “thousands.” And I can fix it with confidence in millions of people,” Sadie said online. “As many people as he did, they didn’t live with their end goals in mind, and many chose to spend their lives telling everyone they met as he did,” Sadie wrote. “He really believed in it, and I know that he lives in Christ in full today!”
She added, “What a genuine life, what a legend.”
