Safran has confirmed its acquisition of Collins Aerospace Flight Controls Business
(Reuters) – Safran, a manufacturer of reference engine and aircraft equipment, said on Monday it completed the acquisition of flight control and operating activities from Collins Aerospace.
Safran, which manufactures landing gear, brakes and cabin interiors, also said the deal is expected to create a synergistic effect of approximately $50 million in annual run-rate costs by 2028.
Collins Aerospace Business, which generated approximately $1.55 billion in revenue in 2024, will be integrated into Safran Electronics and defense from August 1st, the company added.
“This acquisition provides a unique opportunity to solidify our position in mission-critical flight control and actuation capabilities and create a global leader in this domain,” Safran CEO Olivier Andries said in a statement.
The European Commission cleared the deal in April, almost two years after the deal was first announced.
