Saliba helps gyoker to help Arsenal win the Premier League

Arsenal defender William Saliba sent a clear message to the rest of the Premier League.

The Swedish forward has sealed a transfer that could rise to £64 million from last week’s sports and wasted no time linking with his new teammates on the club’s preseason tour in Singapore.

Mikel Arteta’s side is active in the transfer market and has added six fresh faces this summer with the aim of ending the four-year trophy drought.

For Saliba, after his own experience trying to stop him with Arsenal’s 5-1 victory last November, Gyoker could be the final part of the puzzle.

“We know how good he is, and it’s scary to play against him,” Saliba said. “Of course I am very happy to bring him to my club and I am sure he will help us win the game and win the trophy.

“(He’s scary) because when you face a goal-taking striker, you have to focus! But now he’s on our team and he scores for us, so that’s a good thing.”

Arsenal supporters got a glimpse of the new striker when Gyoker first appeared in Red and White during his 3-2 win at Newcastle, Singapore.

His arrival updated his optimism to the team as they prepared for another title push.

“Every year is different. You have to learn from the last three seasons. Of course, I’m lucky to be able to try and win the Premier League again,” Sailiba added.

“Our mindset is to win the Premier League and we provide everything from the first game. We have a lot of new players.

Gyokeres plans to begin a full training session with the team in the coming days as they travel from Singapore to Hong Kong. There, a showdown with rival Tottenham concludes Asia’s preseason tour.

Speculation links Saliba with Real Madrid, but France International has quickly fulfilled its concerns about his future.

Negotiations on contract extensions are underway, and Arsenal is confident that he will tie him down beyond 2025.

“Yeah, hopefully. Of course there’s nothing right now, but there’s a good conversation between my agent and the club. Let’s take a look.”
