South Carolina officials reported their second shark bite Sunday Hilton Head, the popular Southern Beach Town, In just a week.
Hilton Head Island (HHI) Fire Rescue responds to medical emergency Coliny Beach Park A spokesperson for HHI Fire Rescue said he found a victim who had been torn in the leg that matched a shark bite around noon Sunday.
Firefighter officials provided immediate scene care to the victims, and the victims were taken to a local hospital for further treatment.
This is the second shark bite incident reported on HHI since June 17, when another victim maintained a laceration in the leg that matches the shark bite, he told Fox News Digital last week.

“The beaches and the oceans are dynamic natural environments,” HHI Communications Director Heather Woowine said in a statement Monday to Fox News Digital. “Crowd conditions, flows, waves, wildlife and other water and beach conditions can change rapidly. Shore Beach Service, a contractor for beach operations and lifeguard services, will continue to monitor wildlife activity in real time as much as possible.”

If there are large schools of fish, or if there are identified sharks in the water nearby those swimming, “The SBS team will take action immediately and drive people out of the water,” Wowwein said.

The purple flag indicates the presence of dangerous marine creatures such as sharks, stingrays and jellyfish. The red flag indicates rough conditions such as liptide. The yellow flag indicates medium to light condition.
