Senator Cotton defends call to send troops to Los Angeles amid anti-ice riots

Sen. Tom Cotton (R-Ark.) doubled on Sunday on whether CBS host Margaret Brennan would like to use the language he called the president. Donald Trump Sent troops to help quell the riots in Los Angeles.

“You wrote operating support in support of President Trump’s decision to send federal National Guard troops and active-duty Marines to California. You called it an extreme left-handed threat. It was a show of force to end the right and talked about how the community is terrified.

Cotton wrote the operation In the case of Tuesday’s Wall Street Journal, alongside the infamous 2020 guest essay from the New York Times, “There may be a time when we actually send the troops because we risk sending the Liberal Party back to a fainting couch.”

“Yes. When you see left-wing militia throw bricks and bottles of frozen water at police officers and fire with fireworks, unfortunately there are mayors and governors in some places that don’t allow police to maintain order.”

“If the governor doesn’t call on the National Guard, the president must federate them. We hope that local police are always allowed to do their jobs, have enough numbers to work to maintain order and protect innocent lives and property.

The cotton manipulation came as Trump’s decision to send out the National Guard, and eventually a group of US Marines encountered a pushback from Democrats.

Arkansas Republican Written with support Over the weekend, Trump deployed the National Guard and Marine soldiers to Los Angeles after anti-ice riots escalated beyond local police control. His comments repeated similar arguments he had as a result of the Black Life Matter Riots that plagued major cities in the summer of 2020.

Brennan pushed back and said the Los Angeles Police Chief of Police claimed they were in control of the riots, as Cotton allegedly said they were thinning last weekend.

Cotton writes that he is planning too. Introducing new laws It “enhances penalties for mobs attacking law enforcement” and “make riot-related crimes deportable.”

He added that the current Republican budget bill provides additional funding for immigration authorities to deport unlawful criminal immigrants.

“These ideas are basic common sense, but like five years ago, Democrats haven’t learned them. It’s not “inflammation.” Cotton wrote.
