Serena’s murderer says the singer is partially responsible for her death: Report
Serena Quintanira Perez Killer Yolanda Sardivar is eligible for parole later this month, with his family sharing new details from Sardivar.
In an interview with New York Postan unknown member of Sardibar’s family said, “(Yolanda) knows that she knows what she did and she is responsible for it. But she was reacting to the way she faced.”
According to a family member, Sardiva said, “(Serena) came to her really aggressively. She was so abandoned by how fast the forced Serena was. Everything happened so fast.
Representatives of the Quintanira family and Serena’s husband, Chris Perez, did not immediately respond to a request for comment on Fox News Digital.

Saldívar fatally shot Quintanilla-Pérez, known as the Simply Selena, on March 31, 1995. It comes after the Latin pop star discovered that she embezzled the reported $30,000 from the clothing boutique. She still denies stealing from the pop star.

In February 2024, Sardiva sat on a New prison interview “Serena and Yolanda: The Secret Between They,” is featured in Oxygen Docusary.
During Doxalie, Sardibar insists that he has no intention of killing Quintanira Perez, but instead she insists that she wants to end her life. However, in a series of unfortunate events, the gun is said to have set off and instead turned 23.
“It surprised me,” Sardivar said. “I didn’t know that the gun had disappeared. I didn’t know that it hit her. It scared her and scared me. There was no intention of harming her.”
Last year, Sardiva sat for an interview from the prison for the oxygen docusary “Serena & Yolanda: The Secret Between They.” (oxygen)

“My decision was my decision and the outcome was mine,” she said. “I regret all of that. If I can turn the time back, if I can turn the clock, I don’t think a lot of things are like them, and I want them to know that I miss Serena just like they do.
“Sorry for her gone,” Sardivar said. “I am very sorry that her family is hurt, and I am very sorry that my family is hurt.
The documentary sparked backlash when it was released from fans, Singer’s Family.
Her father, Abraham Quintanira, told TMZ that the documentary “nothing but a lie.”

“No one would believe anything she has to say anyway,” the Kintanira family head told the outlet at her release. “Everyone knows that there is zero truth in anything that comes out of her mouth.”
In the documentary, Sardivar said she was “convicted by public opinion” before the trial.
Sardiva Applied for paroleand is currently in the parole review process, according to a representative from the Texas Department of Criminal Justice. Her qualifying date is March 30, 2025.
Her family said, “She has a place to live. We’ve never abandoned her. But we don’t know where she’ll get a job. Who will hire her?”

The outlet previously spoke with Patrick L. O’Daniel Unit (where Saldivar is being held) in Gatesville, Texas.
“Everyone knows who Yolanda Sardiva is,” Marisol Lopez, who served with her from 2017 to 2022, told the outlet. “Like everyone wants a part of her, there’s grace in her head. The guards keep her away from others, because she really hated her.
