A major outage has been reported in the Los Angeles area on Father’s Day after the internet and cable provider spectra link issues “A criminal act of vandalism.”

The company implies that “criminal network vandalism has become an issue that has affected not only the spectrum, but the entire telecommunications industry.”

Spectrum added that it believes the rise in theft is “mainly due to rising prices of precious metals.”
“These vandalisms are Not just crime, It also affects customers, local businesses and potentially emergency services. Spectrum’s fiber line does not contain copper,” the company said.
The company operates in 41 states, and according to its website, it has services available to more than 57 million homes and businesses.
