(Reuters) – Spotify is considering charging up to $5.99 a month, in addition to existing subscriptions to its new music streaming service, including access to high-quality audio, remix tools and concert tickets.
The company may roll out its “Music Pro” tier this year, the report said.
Spotify still works through details, with prices for new services varying depending on geography and lower costs in less developed markets, Bloomberg said.
A Spotify spokesman said in an email that the company could not confirm any potential details or speculations about feature sets.
The new service that uses artificial intelligence for several features allows subscribers to mix songs from various artists, according to the report, and the company has made preliminary consultations with key promoters and ticket sellers. He added that he went.
In the US, Spotify’s largest market, individual tiers charge $11.99 a month. That’s $19.99 for a family plan that can accommodate six members.
Spotify recently signed a multi-year deal with Warner Music Group and Universal Music Group for the recording and publication of music.
CEO Daniel Ek said the company has personalized products, including a premium tier called “Superfans of Music.” Swedish streaming giant forecasts forecast 678 million active users in the first quarter, in line with an estimate of 679.4 million.
