Steam Summer Sale: Borderlands 4 Snag 4 Major Borderlands Games for Under $25 before Borderlands 4
If you want to catch up with the Borderlands series before Borderland 4 If it comes out on September 12th, I can’t find a better opportunity than this. All mainline borderlands games are suddenly discounted Summer sale on Steammany of them are in single digits.
Currently you’ll get Borderlands Game of the Year Enhanced, Borderlands 2, Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel and Borderlands 3 for $22. The first game represents about half its cost, so if you’ve already played it or want to skip it, you can get the other three for just $12. There are also a variety of downloadable content available for sale if you want to add it to your base game.
This is an absolute stolen. Borderlands 2 is one of my greatest first person shooter games of all time, and despite being over a decade old, it is worth around $20 on its own. For me, it is the pinnacle of the series’ hero design and enemy encounters (so far). For my money, ZER0, Gunzerker and Gaige are the three most fun the series has ever made. And True Vault Hunter Mode and Ultimate Vault Hunter Modes (New Game Plus Mode) actually add a lot of replay value by ratcheting your strategy by increasing the importance of matching elemental weapons to the right enemy health type.
What I particularly like about the Borderlands series is the customization it offers. This game has at least four Vault Hunter classes to choose from. These classes offer additional options via a skill tree that lets you adjust how you play Vault Hunter. For example, Zer0 has the option of sniper, stealth, or melee. In addition to the various gun makers where weapons all have different feel, there are also guns of different categories such as pistols, submachine guns, sniper rifles, and elemental weapon types on top, making it a true treasure trove of how to adjust the gameplay in Vault Hunter.
You can also throw hand rena bullets that will explode your money. I was blowing up a lot of money, so I almost crashed Borderlands 3.
Work with your friends to start the blast.
The original Borderlands established several normal elements with formulas, including classes of soldiers and sirens, as well as vending machines for gear and health. He also established several repetitive characters, such as the de facto mascot Moxxi. Borderlands 2 introduced the incredible villain who refined the formula and added more story depth. Presil shook things by taking us into space and giving us laser weapons. Borderlands 3 took a step back from a narrative and character perspective, but added some mechanical polishes so you can mantle the sedge or slide into the barrel and fly to the enemy.
All four of these games take nearly 200 hours if you stick to the main quest or if you’re the type who gets sidetracks once in a while, and totally takes about 100 hours. Pro Tip: Talk some friends to play with you, and finagle or blackmail them. The game is very fun for other players.
For a complete Borderlands experience, you can also tackle Dungeons & Dragons-inspired spinoff game Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands for $12, and Tales from the acclaimed story-selection game Tales from The Borderlands for $15.
With Borderlands 4 coming out in just a few months, there’s no better chance to start or add your collection. Catch the riiide, Vault Hunter.
