Steve Bannon and Bill Maher clash over Trump’s presidential term limit
Longtime Trump ally Steve Bannon told Bill Maher President Donald Trump It’s about “running in the third season” on a Friday night “real-time” episode.
During discussions on the committee on January 6th Bannon’s recent release from prisonsaid Bannon refused to testify before the committee in order to “facing the Constitution,” rather than protecting Trump.
Maher then told Bannon that he “bringed a copy of the Constitution to the show” and continued reading the 22nd Amendment aloud.
“Amendment 22. You must not be elected more than once in the office of the President,” read Maher. – Maybe you should have this, “Before you handing a copy of the Constitution to Bannon.

The former Trump adviser revealed that “President Trump never ran for a third term,” and that it was something that he and others had cultivated the idea.
“President Trump will run for a third term, and President Trump will be elected again on the afternoon of January 20, 2029. He will be President of the United States,” Bannon argued.
“Okay, but I just read there,” replied Maher. Constitutional Law. “It seemed there was no room for wiggling. It looked like it was eight or ten words that I’d only said twice.”

Bannon told Merher “we have a team of people” who are working on reviewing the revisions.
“How can a team do something about it? I don’t care if the team is 12 trillion people or not. Words are still words,” asked Maher.
Bannon said there are currently 120 cases relating to what President Trump is doing for his Article 2 rights,” and that those suing Trump are doing so based on their own interpretation of the constitution.

While publishing a copy of the Constitution, Bannon said, “The interpretation of this (the US Constitution) is open for interpretation.”
“Why is it open – can I get it back?” Maher responded, reaching out to retrieve the copy of the constitution he had given to Bannon.
Laughtering with the audience, the late-night host experienced all the words of the 22nd Amendment with Bannon.
“I don’t know what the ‘team’ is finding,” Maher told Bannon, adding that the two are just “disagree” on the topic.
