In a promotional video posted to the brand’s Instagram, the 27-year-old “Euphoria” star walked towards the AE billboard featuring her and the catchphrase “Sidney Sweeney has great genes.” Sweeney erased the “genes” and replaced it with “jeans” before leaving.
However, the Cancel Culture crowd tried to make the latest takedown as Thinkpieces and social media rants claimed that the term “great gene” is used to celebrate thinness and charm. Others argued that the ad was similar to “Nazi propaganda.”
CJ Pearson came to defend Sweeney in the column Published on Fox News Digital. He wrote that the detractors were upset because they “want to admit the truth.”
“She’s young, hot, white and blonde so she’s angry. And they’re angry that the corporation is finally awakening to the truth. The Americans have woken up!” he wrote.
