Target Bellingham as Bundesliga Side Secure Commback Win

Job Bellingham scored in Borussia Dortmund’s first start as Nico Kovac’s men came from behind to defeat Mamelodi’s sundown and move to a strong position in Group F at the Club World Cup.

Bellingham fired the house at first half injury time to extend Dortmund’s lead to 3-1 via a horrifying mistake from Mamelody goalkeeper Ronwen Williams, after a goal from Felix Nmeka, and Self Girassy canceled the mysterious strike from Lucas Ribeiro.

Before Iqraam Rayners reduced the arrears again, the goal of putting Dortmund further ahead with Khuliso Mudau’s own goals continued to flow in an entertaining game. Lebo Mothiba was late 4-3, but Mamelodi couldn’t find an equalizer.

The victory will move Dortmund to the top of the pool, moving four points ahead of the game between Fulminence and Ulsan tonight, but not routine for Nicocovak’s men against the opposition of the game.

Cincinnati’s burning heat may have put off many locals with only a sparse crowd inside the TQL Stadium, but the result was treated to the finishing gems in the opening 11 minutes.

The South African side, which defeated Ulsan in the opening game in the US, was already approaching Tashlik Matthews, who was parrying the shots by Gregor Kobel, when Ribeiro hit.

Matthews chose 10th in the midfield, and Ribeiro instantly transformed into Niklas Soule before running towards the finish line. He passed Waldemar Anton and cleaned it, calming Kobel with his left foot.

Williams Brand gives Dortmund a lifeline

Dortmund was shaking, but after five minutes he returned to the game and was given the route.

Under a bit of pressure, Williams attempted a pass from behind, but it was all wrong, the ball fell to Nmecha and he fired into an empty net from 10 yards.

Williams partially redeemed himself with a great close save to deny Guilassi in his desperate 20-minute opening.

Guirassy and Bellingham turn the game

If the equalizer wasn’t frustrated enough for Mamelody, they were also the architects of Dortmund’s second downfall.

Tebojo Mokona defeated the ball with half of his own and was confiscated by Pascal Gross, who played for Julian Blunt in the bottom left. Blunt cut the cross into a distant post where Guarasy rose to the highest to plant the header in the net.

Dortmund finally gained a slight control of control, but it wasn’t surprising to see him adding a third of his halftime stroke.

Brandt was once again the creator, with his low cross floating in the air by Williams. Signed by Sunderland before the tournament, Bellingham put the ball neatly on his chest before becoming a volunteer.

A terrible sunset continues

Mokoena approached with a fantastic free kick with Kobel tipped with his fingers before Mamelodi’s defensive frails returned to annoy them again after 59 minutes.

Bellingham, who had held his hands on two goals but was otherwise largely anonymous, let the ball slide to the left to Daniel Svenson, and his low cross flew for Guaracy Hit Mudaw.

Mamelodi refused to give up and after three minutes he netted for the second time. Mokoena’s free kick was headed to the post by the Rayes, and the striker was quickest to respond to the rebound by nodding past Kobel.

Dortmund approached fifth and Williams saved well to keep Ramie Benseverini’s header out before setting up a grandstand finish.

Kutlwano Lethlaku played for the replacement and he ended skillfully.

Mamelody pushed the leveller into six minutes of stop time, but never actually tested Kobel while Dortmund held it.
