Tashell is enthusiastic about “playing with excitement” as England prepares for a new era

Thomas Tuschel says he is eager to “play with excitement” on the English side.

The country is watching Wembley Stadium as the welcoming Albania, the Euro 2024 runner-up, on Friday night.

Four days later, Three Lions host Latvia in the same arena.

And ahead of the game, Tuchel was talking to the media as Harry Kane continues to grow in the predictions for the match.

Fans see England come so close under Gareth Southgate, and believe the new German boss is because they were scared of the team losing.

Now he wants to lead resets across the team and build things from the ground up with a different mentality.

He said: “We want you to play with excitement, hunger, joy to win. Acceptance of failure is part of it.

“They were together at their first lunch and first training sessions, which reminded me of why I was so excited about my work.

“It was their fault. They stood out in how they behaved and how they interacted as a group. They were amazing and we had high quality, very sharp training sessions.

“Everyone was open to giving it the best, good energy, good atmosphere.

“I was excited about camping. There’s a lot of talk about the first game tomorrow. I have to make people believe in me.

“I think we’re trying to implement style, structure and rhythm offensively. We feel like we’re comfortable with the player, expressing ourselves and hopefully making the most of our potential.

“Modern football and opponent quality, Albania and the respect you have to give to all of your opponents, especially off the ball, we remain open to adapt.

“Even if we do what is needed, structurally, in the lineup, or whatever we need. I don’t think we’re going to say we’re ignorant. We do what we want to do, we do what we do, and everyone else adapts to us. This happens, but everyone tries to find a solution for us.

“I want an emotional, hungry team. We need to respect the quality of the Premier League and reflect that.”

Wembley is considered the home of football and is expected to be full of both matches for Tuchel in March.

The former Chelsea boss admitted he was nervous. This is completely normal, but I’m excited to feel the energy inside the stadium.

He added:

“So I hope we can transport this energy and this hunger into the game tomorrow.

“It’s amazing. We have a full Wembley. It’s very exciting. It’s a bit nervous, but that’s part of it.

“This isn’t a difference because I’m always a little nervous before we get a match. Hopefully, we can prove the point and take the first step.”
