Taylor vs Serrano Live on Netflix on Friday night


Once again, two of the most iconic figures in the sport of women’s boxing are set to face each other.

When it comes to growing popularity in the sport of women’s boxing, Katie Taylor and Amanda Serrano are two pioneers. Their epic trilogy battle is set to take place on Friday night, July 11th at Madison Square Garden, which airs live on Netflix.

In April 2022, Katie Taylor and Amanda Serrano made history as they became the first female boxers to headline fight cards at Madison Square Garden. In front of a 19,187 sold out crowd, Serrano and Taylor delivered an instant classic.

In the first four rounds, Southpaw Amanda Serrano moved forward and landed a power shot on his head and body, showing off the front and back action. Defending champion Katie Taylor was fighting her hind legs and landing a solid counter shot.

With 48 seconds left to go to the fifth round, Serrano landed a hard left-hand shot that leaned down Taylor’s knee. Serrano continued to attack Taylor with a gust of power punches, but Taylor managed to survive the round.

For the second half of the indisputable world title match, the round was filled with action to please the raucous crowd. At the end of the contest, defending champion Katie Taylor was awarded the division decision victory.

Two years later, as co-main of the Mike Tyson vs. Jake Paul event, Katie Taylor defended the indisputable ultralight crown against Amanda Serrano. At the end of round 1, Serrano connected with a powerful left-hand shot that staggered Taylor.
