The Black Sabbath bassist remembers “frail” Ozzy in his emotional final performance

Ozzy Osbourne was reunited with Black Sabbath for his final performance a few weeks before his death.
Butler recalls his time with Osborne in nearly 60 years since its formation in 1968, and recalls the importance of the final show together near his hometown.
The Prince of Darkness is dead Tuesday, July 22nd, after fighting many health issues over the years. He was 76 years old.

in front of July 5th concert, Butler admitted that the lead singer is aware of her health issues, but admitted that she was shocked to see how the “frail” Ozzy turned out on the last day.

The 10-hour show was hosted by Jason Momoa and featured performances from Metallica, Guns n’ Roses and Jack Black Stephen Tyler others. At one point during the UK live-streamed show, legendary drummers such as Tool’s Danny Carey, Chad Smith from Red Hot Chili Peppers and Travis Barker from Blink-182 fought the drumsticks while playing covers of Sabbath’s “Symptoms of the Universe.”
For the closing set, the legendary rock star was lifted onto the stage, sitting on a black throne accompanied by a skull, topped with a black bat. He hits like “Crazy Train” and “Mom Going Home” and stayed seated throughout the set.

“You don’t know how I feel,” Osborn told the crowd. “Thank you from the bottom of my heart.”
Butler remembers “the strangest part of the show was the end.”

“Usually, we all hug each other and take a bow to the audience,” Butler wrote. “But we didn’t think about it because Ozzy was on his throne. What shall we do? Tony waved his hand, I presented him with a cake, but it was such a strange feeling to end our story like that.
“I hope it took more time backstage with Ozzy, but now my wishes are redundant. As Ozzy said: “With one hand and with the other, s-w come first.” ”

“No one knew he would leave us more than two weeks after the final show, but we are very grateful to be able to play together at the end in front of his beloved fans,” Butler said.

Born in Aston, West Midlands, England, Ozzy was attracted to theatres as a child, but eventually turned to music after listening to a particular song. the beatles.

A few years before his death, Osborne looked back on the lasting legacy he wanted to leave the world as his Parkinson’s disease progressed.
