The former Manchester United midfielder says “rebuild or demote” for Old Trafford fighters
Paul Shoals says Manchester United will need to either sign at least five players “with a bit of quality” or face the possibility of relegation from the Premier League next season.
Currently United are 13th at the table, but with new boss Reuben Amorim making little impression, and the team full of players seems not enough for the harshness of England’s top flights, Shoals have been in the summer. I believe an overhaul is necessary.
The Red Devils spent a lot last summer, but only Renee Yoro can be considered a decent signature — and the ju umpire remains with him due to the issue of injuries — Joshua Jilky and Mattigis de Liguto and others have been struggling to improve their grades.

And the Shoals fear another iteration of 2025 could have disastrous consequences.
United lacks solid spine – Shoals
The former United and the English midfielder told the overlap fans’ debate: There’s a lot he (Amorim) needs to do, but everyone knows, especially in the transfer window, but you can’t see the player’s core.
“When you look at the team, you see the team’s spine right away. Liverpool: Great goalkeeper, Great centre half, forward, midfielder, anything. I don’t think United is in any position.
“I think we need a new goalkeeper, we probably need two halves of centers, two midfield players, and two centre forwards.
“Now, I’m going to move forward with one center midfielder and one center, but I’m a little taller, a little quality, and really create a spine. When that spine is right, I can add a bit to it .
“That spine, its core, is very important. If they don’t do it right this summer, this might sound ridiculous, but since this manager comes in, they’re going to see a demolition. Maybe I’m telling you, it was so bad.”
The league is worried for Amorim
United have won three of three of their last 11 league games, but narrowed it down to the fifth round of the FA Cup on Friday night thanks to Harry Maguire’s late header against Leicester City.
Last night’s draw was paired with Fulham from Old Trafford.
