President Trump has achieved remarkable success in ending the Biden border crisis and eliminating illegal foreigners of crimes that President Biden walked into our country, but it’s not cheap and the administration says it’s running out of resources. The bill fully funds the border wall and President Trump’s successful policies, eliminating the possibility that Democrats will hold those resources hostages in an attempt to increase other government spending.

This same principle applies to defense funding. Recent conflicts around the world should reveal the need to have modern, deadly combat powers that can keep American people safe. This means that smart, generational investments like the American President Trump’s Golden Dome will defend sophisticated drones, missiles and hypersonics, prioritizing the construction of new ships and unmanned vehicles.

As nations cannot thrive unless they are safe and our borders and defense capabilities have been strengthened, the next important pillar of this bill is to create America’s prosperity.

We do this through a permanent extension to President Trump’s first term in office, the 2017 Tax Cuts and Employment Act (TCJA). Americans face a $4 trillion tax increase at the end of the year, the largest in American history. If we fail to act, the average family of four, who account for the median US income, will face a tax increase of $1,700. The bill not only prevents that tax hike, but also makes the TCJA’s low tax rate permanent. This means Democrats cannot try again to use pending expiration dates as leverage to advance wasteful government spending.

The bill is constantly locked into the TCJA Small Business Regulations, which are essential for economic growth, and also provides President Trump’s tax commitments. There are no taxes on tips, no overtime tax, relaxation of social security taxes for the elderly, no tax on interest on vehicles made in the US.

After the Biden administration and Democrats exploded the growth in government spending on programs like Medicaid, we will do common-sense reforms to return to a financially sustainable path. This means kicking illegal immigrants from health programs and introducing a job requirement that even 50% of Democrats agree to. Everything ensures that programs like Medicaid are strengthened and available to American citizens, and that the program is designed to benefit.

The Senator has been working on the bill for more than a year. Now is the time to act. Border resources are depleted. National security needs are more clear than ever. And as the days go by, we are closer to both our country’s debt restrictions and the biggest tax hike ever for Americans.

The senator will return to Washington today and remain here until the bill is passed.
