The heavyweight rankings for the ring are being questioned. Why is Tyson Fury still number one on the 0-2 record?
The Ring has updated its latest heavyweight rankings. 0-2 records In his last two fights. It should be enough to remove “Gypsy King” from the ring rating.
Kabayel’s knockout advantage
Agit Kabayel is located under Fury and Joseph Parker in the #3 update list. That ranking is too low. How Kabayel (26-0, 18 Kos) is fighting, he beat Fury and Parker.
Kabayel did a much better job of defeating Zhilei Zhang than Parker, knocking him out in the sixth round in the final battle in February. In contrast, Parker was dropped twice by Zhang and forced to travel 12 rounds to win a majority decision in 2024.

Why Fury isn’t the top 10
Apart from the oddity of the rage in #1, the rest of the rankings aren’t that bad, but they’re still not good. #1 is logical if Tyson’s career was still steaming, like when he defeated Deontay Wilder for the second time in 2021.
Since then, Fury’s victory has faced fewer fighters, including Derek Chisola, Dillian White and Francisco Ngannou. Are there any sympathy rankings for these? Did Ring give Fury the number one ranking based on his past achievements years ago? Going across the Ngannou’s 0-2 record and his controversial 10-round split decision victory, it’s hard to see it that way as he’s not in the top 10 of the best heavyweights.
If you lose twice and get a decision against ngannou, a 0-0 prospect, you won’t even be rated as the top 10 or top 15 of the best heavyweight list.
Parker’s soft schedule
The ring has Joseph Parker in #2. He hasn’t beaten anyone to redeem himself since being knocked out by Joe Joyce in 2022. Parker’s most recent victory has since faced 310-pound Martin Bacall, 42-year-old Zhilei Zhang and 39-year-old Deontay Wilde. These are not enough wins to deserve the #2 ranking unless Parker lowers what it takes to receive that high.
