The judge will amend an order that will allow political appointees provided by the Senate to access the payment system

A federal judge in New York revised the temporary restraining order on Tuesday. President Donald Trump The Ministry of Finance will allow political appointees and special government officials access to the department’s payment system.
The amended order was issued Tuesday by US District Judge Janet Vargas.
Obama’s appointee, US District Judge Paul Engelmeyer, issued a temporary restraining order on Saturday. This sided with the 19 Democratic state attorney general who argued that giving “full access” to the Treasury payment system was against the law.

“This morning we won a court order blocking Elon Musk, the world’s wealthiest man, from accessing Americans’ private data,” James wrote to X at the time. “The mask and his dog employees have to destroy every record they have got. I’ve said it before. I’ll say it again: Nobody’s law It’s not exceeded.”
The Trump administration filed an emergency motion on Sunday, saying that it would “to access Federal Reserve employees and external contractors to the payment system in order to carry out the required regular processes and maintenance and provide operational support.” He said it would be “unnecessarily restricted.”
The parties were ordered to meet that night to reach an agreement. The two sides ultimately agree to amend the order, and the plaintiffs oppose changes to the provisions that prohibit political appointees from accessing the system.

The revised order now provides access to information to political appointees provided by the Senate. Special civil servants including Elon Muskis still prohibited from accessing the Ministry of Finance’s payment system.

“These illegal injunctions are a continuation of weaponizing justice against President Trump,” White House press director Karoline Leavitt told Fox News Digital in a statement. “White House We continue to fight these fights in court and hope that they will be proven. The President has all rights to exercise his enforcement on behalf of the Americans who gave him the historic order to govern on November 5th. ”
Shortly after the initial order was given, Trump was called “crazy” in an interview with Bret Baier of Fox News.

“No, I don’t agree with it 100%. I think it’s crazy. And we need to solve the efficiency issue. We’ve got to scam, waste, abuse, everything that has entered the government. That needs to be resolved: USAID, the kind of scam there,” Trump replied.

The parties are expected to meet again on Friday to revisit the matter.
