The most powerful in Europe is filming yachts this year
For a long time, Yochin has been a holiday style among the super wealthy Europeans. The continent offers the Moor with manageable sailing distances, pleasant oceans, abundant spectacular coastlines and gorgeous islands.
Furthermore, Europe dominates the luxury yacht market, with shipbuilders in Germany, Italy and the Dutch renowned for their high-quality craftsmanship and innovation.
According to New Report The luxury yacht market, published by Allied Market Research, is valued at $5.8 billion in 2020 and is expected to reach $12.8 billion by 2031, reflecting the combined annual growth rate (CAGR) from 2022 to 2031.
A study by yacht sourcing found that emerging Eastern European markets contribute to the growth of this rising sector. Croatia and Montenegro have invested heavily in yacht infrastructure and are encouraging the purchase of foreign yachts.
Here we show where senior European executives and Fortune 500 C-suites will be on vacation on yachts this summer, and how voyage travel can get a favor as a way for luxury travelers to escape overcrowded hotels and destinations.
Europe’s most powerful trendy yacht destinations
The coast of southern Italy, the French Riviera, the Aegean islands of Greece and the turquoise core of Turkey are part of Europe’s classic yacht hotspots. However, according to Nick Hatfield, managing director of Sanlorenzo Yachts UKthe best destination he sees in the Mediterranean this year is the Balearic Islands. Marolca has proven to be a certain favourite thanks to “a unique blend of stunning coastlines, crystal clear waters and vibrant cultural heritage.”
Croatia is also on the rise, with more yachts visiting based along the Dalmatian coast. “Its popularity is less crowded and less remote than its other destinations, so it still offers the same.
He added that from the stern mooring along the coastline (where yachts line up along the marina and shore) “make it easy for guests to access the coast, making the most of the yacht’s beach club and water toys.”
Annual calendars of Europe’s most fascinating events also affect the popularity of your destination. “Events like the Monaco Grand Prix and the Cannes Film Festival cause fluctuations in the places where charters may visit. If they are not happening in these areas, it’s the beauty of a gorgeous yacht, allowing you to visit multiple destinations on the charter,” says Hatfield.
Luxury yachts are becoming an alternative to high-end hotels
As overtourism strains European vacation hotspots, Ultra High Source (UHNW) is turning more and more eyes on yachts to escape crowds, Hatfield says. “We enjoy yachting among individuals seeking alternatives to traditional holidays, as the charter experience offers a greater sense of privacy, flexibility and a true sense of freedom,” he explains.
This is “more important for UHNW as many stunning destinations become more accessible, crowded and less exclusive to travelers, with many more stunning destinations becoming more important,” he adds.

As a result, yachts are increasingly preferred as an alternative to high-end hotels. “No matter how exclusive a hotel is, you still share it with others, but in the charter you and your chosen guests and family are everything designed just for you,” says Hatfield.
What’s more, today’s yachts easily rival the amenities of the most upscale hotels, including spas, gyms, cinemas, beauty salons, helipads, wine cellars and Hottebs.
Eddie Lampert, a 278-foot fountain head built for American billionaires and former CEO of Sears Retail Group, has an outdoor basketball court. Guests can play badminton, tennis and soccer on the vast Foredeck while riding the 258-foot Feadship Hampshire II. The yacht, owned by British billionaire and INEOS CEO Jim Ratcliffe, also has a zip line and squash coat.

Onboard green is another superyacht luxury. Vsy Stella Maris has a vertical garden with glass walls that rise from the main deck to the above levels, while Benetti Ocean Paradise calms guests in the zen gardens of the main deck foyer, which is redesigned daily.
So, when European hotspot destinations fill up, the ultra-rich people are investing in yachts as the ultimate luxury of a crowdless, exclusive and personalized experience.
