It is widely believed that Jackie Kennedy was not an unaware of President John F. Kennedy’s affair. But when it came Marilyn Monroeit was different, so she is said to stand up to her husband.
This claim was made by J. Randy Taraborrelli, who wrote a new biographer about the 35th President. “JFK: Private, Public Secret.” This is a follow-up to his book on the 2023 book “Jackie: Public, Private, Secret” about the late First Lady. For his latest book, Taraborrelli drew from hundreds of interviews conducted over 25 years.
“Jackie took care of me (about Monroe),” Taraborelli told Fox News Digital. “Jackie told him, ‘This is not. This can be a problem.” But I don’t think JFK is on Crew Chef, and his radar, besides having “Happy Birthday” at Madison Square Garden.

Taraborelli claimed that the conversation in question took place before Kennedy’s birthday bash on May 19, 1962. Already establishing herself as a Hollywood sex symbol, Monroe performed the breathless “Happy Birthday” while wearing a beaded gown that was tightly attached to her naked skin.
Jackie wasn’t in the festival. Instead, she attended the Loudon Hunt Horse Show Leesburg, Virginia. It was a decision that Jackie’s mother did not approve, the book claimed.

“It’s selfish,” the patriarch told her. As quoted in the book. “Remember who you are. You are the first lady in America. She’s just an actress.”

But Jackie’s mind was made up.
“I think the reason for her concern is because she knew her husband very well, and it makes sense to her that he had a relationship with Marilyn,” Taraborelli explained to Fox News Digital.

“But JFK’s response was that he told her there was nothing going on between him and Marilyn,” Taraborelli said.

“But did she believe in him? Can she believe in him? Why does she believe in him?” Taraborelli continued. “…Why does she take his words for it? Jackie thinks JFK might be lying, but she doesn’t know.”
Taraborrelli admitted that there was “so many greys” in the story, as “everyone knew of another version of the event.”

For his book, Taraborelli spoke with Pat Newcomb, a spokesman and best friend for Monroe. She told him there was no meeting at Crosby’s house.

“She didn’t believe JFK and Marilyn were having an affair. And, as I wrote in the book, she wasn’t 95 years old and doesn’t attack me as someone who lied about it. I think that happens to people as I get older. She was interested in some kind of myth.”
“She said, “Look, I don’t know either.” Where Bing Crosby lived‘”Taraborrelli shared. “I don’t think about what my friends were doing 65 years ago. But if your friend has something to do with President John F. Kennedy, then I think that’s something you remember, right? She’s also a Marilyn spokesperson. She’d have set up to get Marilyn to go to Palm Springs to be with JFK at Bing Crosby’s house.”

Taraborelli said he spoke to several sources to find out if Monroe and Kennedy had tried them before. He concluded that there was no sufficient evidence to support that theory.

“(Pat) was pretty stubborn… that could have been a figure of Marilyn’s imagination,” Taraborelli insisted. “And here is what people need to understand. Marilyn Monroe was the best storyteller of her own life. … She often imagined life for herself.
“When it was Bing Crosby’s home that weekend, Pat Newcomb knew nothing about it,” Taraborelli shared. “She said if it happened she would have known because she was her best friend. We also saw other sources that have spoken about it over the years and we were able to expose them.”

Taraborrelli believes that at one point Monroe called Kennedy’s house at Hyannis Port In 1962, before the Madison Square Garden event. This is a previously shared claim in his book about Jackie. However, he asserted that despite Jackie’s reporting concerns about the blonde bomb, “there is no sufficient evidence to support Marilyn and JFK being involved.”

According to the book, Kennedy’s social and friend Louise “Fifi” hosted a black tie party in 1962 at a pad in New York City. Taraborelli claimed that Kennedy had met Monroe.
“It was a cocktail party, and Peter Lawford (actor and member of Rat Pack) invited both Marilyn and JFK,” Taraborelli told Fox News Digital. “Marilyn was very late to get there. JFK almost left without seeing her.”
