NFL It issued its first statement Monday night since a massive shooting at the league headquarters in New York City.

Fox News Digital has obtained multiple notes sent to NFL employees from Commissioner Roger Goodell, who has been updating staff since Monday night.

The first memo explained that an NFL employee was “seriously injured” in the shooting by 27-year-old Shane Tamra. The staff were said to be in stable condition at the hospital.

The NFL tells New York City employees to work from home after filming

A memo was released Tuesday, telling all NYC employees of the NFL should work remotely until at least the end of next week.

“During this time, the office will remain closed and we ask that you not try to enter the building until we make sure we are ready to return,” the memo said.

Goodell also said in a memo: “Our minds come to all victims and their families, and we are deeply grateful to the first responders and medical staff who have acted so quickly and continued to provide care.”

Mayor of New York City Eric Adams On Fox 5 NY’s “Good Day New York” on Tuesday, the gunman revealed that he was trying to target the NFL headquarters but got the wrong elevator bank. He said the floor he took was for Rudin management.

Adams added that it implies that Tamura suffers from chronic traumatic encephalopathy, well known as CTE. He was unhappy with the NFL.

“It seemed he’d criticized the NFL,” the mayor said. “The NFL headquarters is in a building and he accidentally went up the wrong elevator bank.”

Adams said investigators were experiencing a “suicide memo” in which the gunman left. Officials told Fox News Digital that a three-page memo was found in the gunman’s wallet, referring to CTE, expressing his anger towards the NFL rather than degenerative brain disease.

The other three victims killed in the shooting were Blackstone executive Wesley Repatner, security guard Aland Etienne and Rudin Management’s associate Julia Heyman.
