New York City The office building, which was the scene of the shooting Monday night, when four casualties, including NYPD officials, will serve as the headquarters for several companies in the financial services industry and the NFL.

The building is owned by Rudin Management and also houses the offices of the multinational accounting firm KPMG.
The skyscraper was built on the site of a former hotel ambassador, which was completed in 1969. Blackstone was a longtime tenant, moving to the building in 1988 just three years after its establishment, and last year it moved to expand its presence at the facility.

Last year, Blackstone increased its office space lease footprint from 719,000 square feet to 1.06 million square feet, giving 55% of the building to 28th floors, and signed a contract, according to a report from the time. Costar News.
The company’s original 1988 lease spanned just two stories and 70,000 square feet, but the new lease continues until 2034.
Rudin Management traces its roots to family real estate In the early 1900s, the venture grew for a long time into a real estate development company that built high-rise apartments and office buildings in New York City. According to the company’s website, the 345 Park Avenue Building was the first commercial office building.

Mayor Eric Adams appears in Fox 5 NY “Good Day New York” And the gunman identified as Shane Tamra said he accidentally entered the wrong elevator bank.
“It’s a shame that active shooter drills are being performed nationwide on these days and times. Active Shooter I think the drills and staff in the building had access to some of the safe rooms and played a major role in saving the lives of some of the staff,” Adams said.
Adams added that the gunman suffers from chronic traumatic encephalopathy (CTE), adding that he is unhappy with the NFL, and that investigators have passed “suicide notes” left by the gunman. The New York Post first reported on a memo found near the gunman’s body.

NYPD commissioner Jessica Tish said Monday night that Tamra “documents the history of mental health” and traveled to the city by car across the country. She explained that his motivation is still under investigation.
Blackstone identified one of the victims as Wesley Repatner in a statement. According to the company’s website, Lepatner was global head of Core+ Real Estate and CEO of Blackstone Real Estate Income Trust (BREIT).
NYPD has been identified Dadarul Islam As a murdered police officer. The NFL said one of its employees was “seriously injured” in the attack.

The New York Times reported that Blackstone’s office in Manhattan will be closed on Tuesday, according to anyone familiar with issues that are not allowed to speak publicly.
KPMG is a note to employees. Business Insider That office was closed Tuesday after the shooting and should work from home or another office.
