The “Prairie’s Little House” star is sure Netflix’s reboot will be different
Alison Arngrim knows that when it comes to “the small house of a prairie”, he cannot replicate the original.
The actress, who became famous as the sleazy girl Nelly Oleson, told Fox News Digital that fans shouldn’t worry about the reboot of the classic series, which ended after nine seasons in 1983.
Arngrim has been busy attending events and reuniting with viewers all over the world to celebrate the “little house” and its heritage.

January, Streaming giant has been confirmed That the series reboot gave a green light. The original show was based on a book by Laura Ingalls Wilder about growing up in the American West in the late 1800s. They were written during the Great Repression and were published in the 1930s.
Netflix called Rebecca Sonnenshine of “The Boys” and Rebecca Sonnenshine of “The Vampire Diaries” as showrunner and executive producer “Transformed Adaptation.”

Arngrim emphasized that it was different from the original.
“They’re back to books. They’re back to the beginning,” the 63-year-old said. “They still hire directors and everything. It’s still very, very early, but when Laura is a very little girl, they’re looking into the first book. They’re back to their roots. .”

“So, what will this be like? I don’t know yet,” Arngrim said. “But they’re not trying to steal or recreate things. Our show, which is an invention of Michael Landon, has several characters, like Albert Ingalls. There was no Albert Ingall in the book. It is based on three different girls.”

“The book was a novel,” continued Arunim. “And Michael Landon said that if he added things and changed things for the show, that’s a good idea, but this time they’re back to the books.
Before news of the reboot was released, Arngrim said the original cast member had been called. Currently, the cast is not expected to appear in cameo.

Arngrim admitted that it would not be easy for the new show to deal with its predecessor. “The Little House of Prairie” It premiered on NBC in 1974.

Arngrim is advised to those who take on the role of Oleson.

“If you think, ‘Wow, that’s pretty bad,’ I’ll go there,” she shared. “You need to feel strong about who you are and you need to understand that this is a character, because if you do it right, someone will hate you, and if possible, everyone.”
“Yes, I hit my face with orange soda during the Christmas parade,” Arunim continued. “So, for God, if you do it right, there will be people who will be emotionally involved and will hate you in surprise. Know who you are first and feel self-sense. I have it.”

The surviving cast has maintained a close bond for many years. During the coronavirus pandemic, Arunym also held live readings of the Little House book for fans.
