Prince George recently turned 12, and according to royal experts, one of the “morbid rules” is expected to be implemented.
Royal Protocol advises that George will no longer be allowed to fly with his father Prince William. The heirs must fly separately to maintain the inheritance line in the event of an accident while traveling. 43-year-old William is the heir to the throne.
“The Prince and Princess of Wales and their children are the future of the royal family,” royal expert Richard Fitzwilliams told Fox News Digital. “Accidents happen. This seems to be a wise precaution that should be observed, like King Charles and William during Queen Elizabeth’s reign.”

British broadcaster and photographer Helena Chard claimed that Fox News Digital had informed him that the king expected George to travel separately from her father. She pointed out that fathers and sons must “adjust change.”

“Traditional Royal Travel Protocol “I expect future heirs to travel separately from their father, especially at age 12,” Chard explained. “Direct heirs should not fly together. Previous generations left women at home with the governor while on their trip. However, this caused a lot of upset for the children. King Charles can guarantee this. He desperately missed his parents when he went on tour.”

Still, Chard said it is likely that George and William will ease the change.
“This important issue is being debated because it could affect the future of the monarchy,” she argued. “The heir’s travel arrangement to the throne is important at all ages. And the Welsh have always traveled together. There are many rules, expectations and traditions that the royal family expects to follow.”

British Royals expert Hilary Fordwich I pointed out to Fox News Digital that the rules were not set to stones. But she noted that it is a travel protocol that the monarch has taken seriously over the years.

“Now that Prince George is 12, there are no rules for not traveling together by plane or car, but it’s a tradition,” she explained. “This ensures that the next liner and heirs are not lost. Sometimes relaxed or bent. Now, coupled with the King’s health issues and his senior age, it is considered very important to ensure Prince George’s safety.”

“Prince William and Princess Catherine adhere to many rules, especially rules that protect succession,” Fordwich shared. “But to some extent, they reinterpret other rules, relax or ignore them, and in a stunning attempt to become more relevant modern families, all royal generations have renewed similarly updated traditions and thereby remain relevant.”
“The restrictions on William and George flying together are decades-long orders to ensure continuity in the event of a travel accident,” added royal expert Ian Pelham Turner.

“It is unknown whether this will change or challenge William in the future and break the decades of tradition,” he said. “But with the royals these days, that’s not uncommon.”
Royal author Robert Jobson previously wrote in his biography, “Catherine of the Princess of Wales,” that he raised “concerns” with William about his use of helicopters. With his wife, Kate Middletonand their three children. William had expressed a strong desire to fly with the whole family.

A spokesman for Kensington Palace, which handles the Prince and Princess of Wales offices, did not immediately respond to a request for comment on Fox News Digital. A Buckingham Palace spokesman declined to comment.
“There were several royals who died in plane crashes,” Fordwich previously explained to Fox News Digital. “As a result, Queen Elizabeth II was particularly sensitive about who could and could be allowed. Rules were introduced regarding banning royal heirs from flying together.”
“Many of the royal protocols were claimed by the late Queen Elizabeth II,” Chard noted.

Still, the prince and princess Wales are not afraid to bend the rules from time to time, she said.
“[In the past]Prince George would have endured a certain rite of passage,” explained Chard. “However, Prince and Princess Wales disagree with some of the old-fashioned traditions, such as “bloody rituals,” especially if these traditions are not carved on stone.

“The royals have become much more subtle these days, and selfies are sometimes allowed, especially by William,” Fitzwilliams said. “The king is a Hagger, and William and Catherine communicate through video. Succession to the throne is crucial to the future of the monarchy, and the deep rifts of the royal family underscore its importance.

“When William turned 12, he began flying another royal jet from his father and brother Harry,” he shared. “That’s a pathological rule, but then when they turn 16, all the senior royals are also asked to help plan their own funerals.”
