The video shows the moment when a passenger train crashes into an SUV. The driver escapes in a few seconds
The newly released video was captured the moment the SUV driver escaped from the SUV just before the vehicle was destroyed by a Utah Transit Station (UTA) passenger train. Layton, Utahlast week.
Video taken from inside the locomotive showed the train barreling down the track towards the railway intersection.

Another view of the crash taken from a nearby security camera showed that a red light flashed and the gate arm dropped, indicating that the SUV driver approaching the railway intersection approaching the railway intersection.

The driver then hit the brakes and the rear wheel still stopped between the two rails.
It appears they’ve noticed they’ve crossed over to the truck, but the driver reverses the vehicle, hitting the gate arm, causing the front wheel to stop, blocking part of the truck.
The driver continued his reversal, pushing back the gate arm before stopping, and leaving the car as soon as he left.
A few seconds later, the train approached the intersection. I hit the vehiclespins into the gate arm and its post, completely destroying the front end of the SUV.

KSLTV in Salt Lake City spoke with UTA spokesman Gavin Gustafson.
He also told the station that despite the driver being probably shocked, it was easy to watch the video and that the driver wanted him to pull forward and break his arm.
“I certainly don’t intend to see them again in the heat of the moment,” Gustafson said. “And sometimes something else may block the view. When another train comes, you don’t want to move forward.”
Gustafson did not immediately respond to requests for comment regarding the issue of Fox News Digital.

Still, the station reported that the UTA estimated the crash caused the train to suffer more than $100,000 in damage.
In the process, the gates and cross-posts were damaged, but the latter reportedly was repaired within 24 hours with the assistance of the city of Layton.
