Whether you exercise regularly or have a tendency to sore muscles in general, using a massage gun is a great way to relax. If you find yourself being deterred by the prices of popular brands like Theragun, you can get a deep tissue massage that works even with a cheap massage gun. We’ve reviewed quite a few options and gathered the best budget massage guns for 2025.

Which is the best budget massage gun?

Overall it’s Hyperice Hypervolt Go. It’s the same price as The Agun Mini, but packs a better punch and is just a little bigger. Also, it’s the ideal massage gun if you’re on the go, so you can always get muscle relief. This massage gun has three speeds and two massage gun heads to choose from, depending on the area you are aiming to target.

Like Therabody, Hyperice is a premium brand with matching prices. Speaking of matching, Hypervolt Go is sold at almost the same price as Theragun Mini. But I like the former more. That’s because it comes with two heads instead of one massage gun head, and has a more comfortable gun style design.

Compared to Maxkare and Taotronics models, if it is larger than Naipo or RecoverFun, it is a compact massage gun. So let’s call it “medium.”

But wow, is that powerful? However, if you only have three speeds, you might prove a little more if you prefer a gentler massage. Hyperice does not supply carrying cases, it is inconvenient, and the AC adapter is unique.

Between this and Theragun Mini, I choose this. However, there are other budget-friendly massage guns, but if that’s what you like, it’s more versatile.

  • Number of heads included: two
  • Carrying case included: Drawstring

The triangular mini gives impressive power to the size of a portable massage gun, but the shape makes it difficult to hold comfortably. Additionally, Therabody does not provide multiple head attachments. Only the ball head is included. Other massage guns here come with at least two (whether four or six) for a low price.

Even at the lowest of the three speeds, I feel the Mini is stronger than many other budget massage gun options I have tried. In fact, anyone looking for a light and relaxing massage may find it a little too strong.

On the other hand, the unit relies on its own AC adapter rather than USB-C. That’s another thing to stuff into your trip. And the adapter doesn’t even fit in the Therabody’s perfect zipper carrying case.

I’m happy to have this on hand for deep organizational relief, but it’s hard to recommend that you don’t. Too many other models with more features and lower prices.

Naipo’s massager is the lightest and most compact model in the group, with smaller, more comfortable grips and percussive power than expected.

Other pluses include 5 speed settings and 4 different massage heads. Naipo doesn’t offer carrying cases, which is a bit disappointing. But my only real complaint is that it’s not among the quiet massage gun options. The other “mini” of Roundup, RecoverFun and Sportneer, produce far less noise.

I’ve seen various coupons or code deals that lower the price of this massager and should get it while on sale.

Available in three colors (including dazzling red), RecoverFun Mini is one of my favorite massagers in the group. Heavyer than the Naipo’s similarly compact model, there is a metal barrel that feels a little cold until it warms up, but is surprisingly quiet. (The extra noise is useless when you’re trying to relax.)

The gun offers four speed settings, and RecoverFun supplies “Big 4” attachments: balls, bullets, forks, flats. The flat ones are made of aluminum and have no clear advantages that I can see but look cool. You will also need to supply your USB-C charging cable with its own built-in USB port, but you will also get a drawstring carrying case.

You know the old proverb: two heads are better than one. But does that apply to most massage guns? I thought Fishda’s Frankenstein was just a trick, but I’d be concerned if it didn’t reach twice the goodness of the muscle punch. For larger areas like thighs and glut areas, I really enjoyed this “bigest” massage.

Luckily, it’s not twice as big as any other gun. In fact, it’s surprisingly quiet. It also has a relatively compact shape, essentially a higher version of the RecoverFun Mini. But it weighs a few things. At 1.7 pounds it weighs more than the best massage gun in its size class. Expect this to set arm fatigue a little earlier.

Also, although it is expensive compared to other models, it is expected to be the case with the dual head. However, in many cases you can find coupons that will significantly reduce your price.

  • Number of heads included: 4 (2)
  • Carrying case included: Drawstring
