Things you need to know about the Nintendo Switch 2 Edition Game
Nintendo held it Nintendo Switch 2 Direct On Wednesday, the company announced that upcoming consoles will be released. June 5th. The company has also revealed that a handful of Nintendo Switch games, called the Nintendo Switch 2 Edition, will be getting an upgraded version.
Switch 2 is reverse compatible and allows you to play certain compatible Switch games, but Nintendo has yet to say which games are compatible. Nintendo said the Switch 2 edition game could offer improved graphics, a unique way to play games on Switch 2 hardware, and more.
All games announced by Nintendo will be getting the Switch 2 edition.
- Super Mario Party Jamboree
- The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild
- The Legend of Zelda: The Kingdom’s Tears
- Kirby and the Forgotten Land
- Metroid Prime 4 Beyond
- The Legend of Pokemon: ZA
Nintendo said the Switch 2 versions of these games are available in both digital and physical copies. However, if you already own a Switch game like Breath of the Wild, you will need to buy an upgrade pack and play the Switch 2 version of the game.
It is unclear what the cost of the upgrade pack and how it will work in the physical version of the Switch game.
Nintendo has also announced a few new games to appear in upcoming consoles. Mario Kart WorldKirby Air Rider and Donkey Kong Bonanza. Nintendo has also announced several third-party games that will appear in Switch 2, including Eldenling, Split Fiction, and Madden.
