Thomas Party has been charged with five counts of rape
Former Arsenal midfielder Thomas Party has been charged with five counts of rape and one count of sexual assault, the Crown Prosecutor’s Office announced this afternoon.
The crime is said to have been committed between 2021 and 2022 when he was signed with the North London Club.
Part’s previous contract with Emirates expired at the end of June and is now a free agent.
CPS said three women were involved in the charges. The 32-year-old is scheduled to appear at Westminster Magistrates Court on August 5th.
“We’ve been working hard to get the better of our customers,” said Jaswant Narwal of CPS. “The Crown Prosecutor’s Service today has granted the prosecutors the multiple rape counts of Thomas Pert. After carefully considering a comprehensive file of evidence, the prosecutors are working closely with the Capital Police officers who conducted the investigation to consider and advise appropriate charges.
“It reminds everyone that criminal cases are aggressive and that defendants have the right to justice. We know that this announcement has a great public interest, but it is absolutely important that there is no reporting, commentary, or sharing of online information that could hinder these procedures.”
