Thread accounts get lots of updates
The company announced Thursday that changes have been made to Meta’s thread social network. The changes start with changes to domain extensions that move from thread to thread. Some desktop layout changes are also one that helps users copy and save images.
Some future changes
At the top of the thread page, users now see custom feeds in the same order as their mobile devices. You can also use the main menu icon to access your favorite and saved posts and revisit conversations of interest more easily, instead of creating a pinned column.

Other changes include adding columns by clicking on the new column icon on the right to customize the thread display.
The thread is one of several social media platforms that focus on text-based posts instead of videos and photos. However, competition is intensifying, with the highest number of active users. Platforms including x, Blue skiing And all discrepancies take a similar approach.
You can copy images
Several more changes may simplify thread usage.
Users can now copy images posted to threads, but previously they had to always take screenshots.
And since the + button becomes available while scrolling for the user, it’s easier to post a new thread while scrolling for the thread. Previously, users had to go back to their profile or homepage to create new posts.
You can now create a new threaded post by pressing the + button in the right corner of the screen.
More coming
Meta representatives said more changes were coming to the thread.
“We know how important the web experience is, especially for creators. This is just the first set of updates to be released in the coming months,” the representative said in an email.
The thread is also testing the ability to upload a list of people you follow on other apps and connect elsewhere. Start with Competitor X. There is no release date for this update yet, but some users have already seen the feature.
