Tiger Woods plays at Genesis Invitational to return to competition for the first time since the British Open
For the first time since the British Open in July, Tiger Woods Active on golf courses.
Woods, 49, committed to playing 18 holes on Friday Genesis Invitational At Tory Pines.
It’s the first time Woods has competed since he had a microintake in September to reduce foot pain. It was the sixth surgery he had on his lower back.

It is also the first time Woods has performed since the loss of his mother, Kultida Woods, who passed away on Tuesday at the age of 80.
Normally, Genesis Invitational is located at the Riviera Country Club, but the tournament was moved to Torrey Pines due to wildfires that have devastated the Los Angeles community.
Woods has achieved many successes in his illustrious career with the Tory Pines, winning eight public courses alongside the Pacific.

Torrey Pines is the course Woods finished in the top 10 last time. PGA Tour Event, when he was in his 9th tie after Farmers Insurance opened in 2020.
There are no cuts at Genesis Invitational. That means Woods has been walking all four days regardless of his performance.
When Woods played four rounds last Last year’s Masterwhen he broke tournament records with most cuts made in the prestigious majors with 24 consecutive cuts.

Woods missed the cut in three other major tournaments he played.
The 15-time major champion has competed in the indoor TGL league, which debuted on January 7th, 2025.
The Genesis Invitational begins on February 13th and runs until February 16th.
