“Chrisley knows the best” star Todd Chrisley I remember that he allegedly collided behind a bar with Rick Singer, the mastermind behind the Varsity Blues college admissions scandal.
In May, 57-year-old Todd and his wife, Julie, 52, were jailed after being convicted of federal bank fraud and tax evasion, but were released from federal prison after receiving pardon from President Donald Trump. During the joint appearance of daughter Savannah Chrisley “Unlock” Tuesday’s podcast Todd and Julie reflected on their experiences as they spent their time at separate facilities in Kentucky and Florida.
“My dad almost got sent to (another) county at once,” recalled Savanna, 27.
“What? When I jumped on that guy? About you?” Todd asked, referring to his fellow inmate singer at Pensacola, Federal Prison, Pensacola, Florida.

“I talked to him about them with Felicity and Bill (Huffman’s husband William H. Macy, who was not charged with the scandal) and Lori, and told him, ‘I don’t want to have another conversation with you,” Todd said. “So he turned around and left.”

“So he started talking about Smack, so I walked over to him and said, ‘I’m going to say this again. I’m already in prison,'” Todd continued. “I said, ‘I’ll tear your head and put my head down if you tell me about my child again.”
“And I meant what I said,” he added. “I said, ‘I don’t need you to be afraid of me. If my daughter’s name comes out of her mouth again, I will tear your head and put my head down.”
Todd explained that he “had never had any other issues” with the singer, pointing out that their passionate interaction was “really the only problem” he had while in prison.
Singer’s lawyer did not immediately respond to a request for comment on Fox News Digital.

The singer was the mastermind behind the 2019 college admissions scandal, receiving a total of over $25 million payments from numerous parents, including the “Full House” actress and the “Desperate Housewife” star. After spending 16 months at Pensacola in federal prison, Singer was released in August 2024 and sentenced to prison in a half-hearted house in Los Angeles.
