Tottenham signs Bayern Munich midfielder Joa Parchña

Reports say Tottenham is in discussions with Bayern Munich about a potential loan agreement for midfielder Joao Parghínja.

The 30-year-old moved to Bundesliga champions last summer on a 50 million euro transfer from Fulham, but endured his first season of injuries in Germany and managed a start in just six leagues.

The Spurs had previously expressed interest in Portugal International before Thomas Frank was appointed as new head coach.

Also, to get more minutes under his belt and stay with the Champions League team, Parchinya is considered eager to switch to the Spurs.

Pargignha joined Bayern and signed a four-year contract, explaining the move at the time as “one of the happiest days of my life” and “my dream come true to play for one of the top teams.”

Reports show that Tottenham is encouraged to test Bayern’s willingness to sanction temporary moves.

The North London Club continues to operate in the transfer market as they are trying to strengthen several areas of their team, and have already completed transactions for West Ham’s Mohamed Kudus, Hajduksplit’s Lukavoskovic and Kawasaki Frontre’s Kota Takakai.
