TrueCaller’s call recording function will not work on iPhones from September 30th
TrueCaller has stopped recording the call on iOS – just More than 2 years after the feature was launched – Spam call fight when Swedish companies choose to focus on providing cores.
On Friday, the company confirmed to TechCrunch that the call recording feature would no longer be available on iPhones from September 30th. Users with saved call recordings can share them via their device or messaging app, or switch storage preferences to iCloud to access the recordings even after the feature is discontinued.
Nakul Kabra, iOS Head at Truecaller, said he made the decision to TechCrunch because he wanted to focus on his Live Caller ID and automatic spam blocking capabilities.
In June 2023, TrueCaller reintroduced Android features and began recording iOS calls for paid subscribers. The app also received support for transcription of calls natively. I had both a call record and a transcription Release Last year in India.
Call Recording works seamlessly on Android, but it’s more complicated on iOS where third-party apps cannot record calls natively on Apple’s operating system. To avoid this, TrueCaller uses a recording line that records calls, a way to increase both cost and complexity per cupra. These challenges ultimately resulted in a discontinuation of functionality.

The Truecaller moves several months after Apple introduced native call recording and transcription support for iPhone users. iOS 18.1 Update last year. In native features, unlike TrueCaller, users do not need to connect to the record line and record calls. It also brings transcription with Apple Intelligence.

That being said, TrueCaller introduced call recording to tempt iPhone users first, as the Caller ID function is restricted in the free tier. Paid users will also get Real-time caller IDAdvanced and automatic spam blocking, Siri shortcuts, incognito mode, and other features.
