Trump: “I have my deadline” Securing Ukraine-Russia Peace Contract

Trump’s remarks coincided with a Thursday visit from Norwegian Prime Minister Jonas Garh’s store at the White House, after he said there was a high chance that a peace deal would emerge within days on Wednesday.
“I have my deadline,” Trump told reporters Thursday. “And we wanted to be faster. And the Prime Minister helped us.”
“He hopes it’s faster too,” he said. “And I think we’re hoping to see this happen at this point at NATO.”
“I think it’s very likely to come,” Trump said.

The White House did not immediately respond to a request for Fox News Digital’s comment requesting details about Trump’s voluntary deadline.
Following recent criticism of both Russia and Ukraine, Trump said his only priority is to save lives by securing a peace deal.
“I have no loyalty to anyone,” Trump told reporters Thursday. “I’m loyal to saving lives.”
According to Ukraine, Trump has expressed his dissatisfaction with Russia over continuing his Thursday strike in Kiev on Thursday, killing at least 10 people and injuring at least 90 people.
“I’m not satisfied with Russia’s strike against Kiev. It’s not necessary, it’s very bad timing,” Trump said in a social media post Thursday. “Vladimir, stop! 5,000 soldiers are dying a week. Let’s carry out the peace agreement!”
Additionally, in its oval office, Trump signaled that if Moscow continues to launch a strike against Ukraine, he would consider additional sanctions against Russia.
“I want to answer that question in a week. I want to see if we can make a deal. There’s no reason to answer that now, but I’m not happy. Let me say it that way. Things, things happen.”
Despite these attacks from Russia, Trump told reporters: “We both really believe that we want peace, but we have to get to the table.”

Vice President JD Vance made it clear on Wednesday that the proposals are on the table, but if neither party agrees, the US will move away from progress in peace talks. “We have issued a very clear proposal for both Russians and Ukrainians. It’s time for them to say yes or the US to leave this process,” Vance told reporters on Wednesday. “We are engaged in an extraordinary amount of diplomacy, earthly work.”

The Trump administration has recently shown that the deal could be on the horizon, and Trump expressed optimism on Sunday that he could resolve an agreement that would pave the way for Ukraine and Russia to launch “big companies” with the United States.
Russia invaded Ukraine in February 2022, and Trump has promised to move since the campaign trail to end the conflict between the two countries.
