Tsunami waves arrive at Japanese coast after a Russian earthquake, causing tsunami alerts on the US West Coast

The tsunami waves reached the east coast of Japan following a powerful earthquake off the east coast of Russia.

The 8.8 magnitude earthquake caused tsunami horrors across Hawaii, southern Alaska, the entire West Coast of the United States, and most of the Pacific Basin, including the coast of British Columbia.

According to Fox weather, tsunami warnings are in effect in parts of Hawaii and Alaska after the earthquake struck just east of Petropavlovsk, Russia, but the entire US West Coast and the state of British Columbia are exposed to tsunami recommendations.
