One of the biggest updates is the expansion of Uber Rent (the car rental division of services) by adding user delivery. This allows users to drop a car rental at home, at their office or hotel. This summer, the service has expanded to 15 additional US cities, including Dallas, Phoenix, Charlotte and Las Vegas, and has been combined into 24 cities across the country.

Travelers can book a car rental 2 hours in advance or up to 6 months in advance. Uber points out there is no charge to cancel as long as it is at least two hours before the scheduled drop-off.

Get on a more affordable airport

Uber is expanding its Uber share at the airport. This is a carpool-style option that allows travelers entering and leaving the airport to share a ride with one passenger with other passengers and save up to 25% compared to the standard Uberx, the regular Uber tier. Even if no matches are found, riders still pay a discount.

The feature is available at more than 40 additional airports, including international cities such as Chicago Midway, Nashville, Washington Reagan, Paris, Lisbon and Stockholm.

The company is adding new delivery options to travelers who rely on Uber Eats while staying at the hotel. Users can choose how to drop off their food. You will meet a courier in the lobby and request that food remains at the front desk or be delivered directly to the entrance and exit of your hotel room.

Travelers staying at Marriott Properties can also earn Marriott Bonvoy Points on their Uber Eats orders if their loyalty account is linked to the app.

More airport pickup options in the suburbs

Uber also focuses on small town and suburban destinations such as Reno, Green Bay and Sarasota, expanding the reserve’s airport pickup capabilities to 70 more airports in the US and Canada. Spare rides can be scheduled in advance. This is convenient for travelers jumping into areas with fewer transportation options.

These updates have arrived in time for one of the busiest travel weeks of the year. Additional changes are listed Uber Newsroom Post.
