UFC headliner cancelled after medical issues reported by fighter jets

Erin Blanchefield was to compete with Macy Barber in the main event. UFC Fight Night In Las Vegas over the weekend, games were cancelled before the bell rang.
Barber, who competes in the women’s flyweight division, has not fought since March 2024, as she said it led to nearly two weeks of hospitalization. Barber missed Friday’s weight by half pounds and was already set to give up 20% of her wallet to Brunchfield, Go to ESPN.

Things put another strange twist on Saturday night.
Blanchfield said at a press conference on the night of the UFC Battle, UFC CEO Hunter Campbell said her barber had suffered a seizure before she was scheduled to walk to the Octagon. A lovely junkie. The ESPN broadcaster said Barber suffered from medical problems.
“I still feel quite distrustful right now,” Blanchefield added via MMA Junkie. “I feel incredible when she missed the weight because she had known this fight yesterday since January. You might have been overweight at 50 pounds and still missed the weight.
“So she misses the weight and then we go on Saturday. She goes to the locker room. I’m perfectly ready. She should be ready to go. Maybe she’s the one we should fight.

Barber hyped her on her Instagram page posted and re-shared video Return to the Octagon. However, she had not addressed alleged medical issues on social media.
Fox News Digital reached out UFC For comments.
Branchifield was asked if she was giving advice to the barber.
“I don’t know, she needs to look at another department,” she said. “She needs to correct her life. She needs to correct herself. I think she’s a complete mess in every aspect of her life.”

Blanchfield is 13-2 with his MMA career. She defeated Rose Namajunas through a unanimous decision in November.
