UFC News: Conor McGregor says he’ll just come back to compete in the stadium

Conor McGregor He has long been promoting his return to the Octagon after his first attempt last June fell into an unfortunate end due to a training injury.

However, his final fight was almost four years ago, and despite his renewed interest in politics, the well-known fighter appears to be interested in making another attempt at a comeback under one condition.

UFC The fighter joined social media on Tuesday following the success of WrestleMania 41 at Allegant Stadium, home of the Las Vegas Raiders.

“I’m back at the stadium,” he wrote in X’s post.

Sports fans have responded positively to the post, but UFC CEO Dana White will not share the same response.

White had previously opposed to holding a fight at the stadium. In September, before UFC 306, White revealed that holding a battle at the stadium would come at the expense of fan experience due to production challenges.

“When we held a live event on Saturday, I want the best home experience people can have. I want the same experience on television,” he told the media at a press conference. “Why don’t you know why you need to do the stadium for? Can you get more people out there? That’s not interested in me.

“What I’m interested in is to have the best live events. People always talk about how fast the sport has grown. Live events are part of the reason the sport has grown like this.”

UFC 306 was hosted on a sphere Las Vegas, But White said at the time it was likely to be the final event of its kind.

McGregor, 36, last fought in 2021, losing to Dustin Poirier after breaking his leg during the fight. He was scheduled to fight Michael Chandler at UFC 303 in June, but the fight was cancelled after breaking his toe during training.

After sharing the terms of his return, McGregor called out Chandler in another post, saying the two had “unfinished business.”

Chandler responds with his own post and only promotes further.
