UFC star McGregor wants to fight in the White House as president of Ireland

UFC Star Conor McGregor We haven’t fought since July 2021, but we may look to next year’s marquee event.

After President Donald Trump announced On Thursday, when the UFC fight takes place on the White House grounds next year, McGregor responded to news that seemed likely to want to take part on social media.

“On July 4th, America. I’m excited that President Trump announced the UFC fight event at the White House. I’m honored! Count me!” McGregor wrote in X.

McGregor later re-shared his post with a photo of him and Trump in his oval office.

In March, McGregor said he would also run for president of his native Ireland.

On Friday, the fighter expressed interest in his post with bold predictions about participating in the White House fight next year, following up as country president.

“Next July 4th is Saturday, and it’s about President Trump’s UFC White House event. I will govern the Irish president for less than a year to go out on the White House lawn and throw it out. Epic proportions!

UFC’s Dana White cites media’s treatment of Trump as explaining why he hopes he has “no relation to politics.”

March, McGregor Visited the White House He criticized the Irish government to raise awareness of the “problems facing Irish people.”

“Our government has long abandoned the voices of the Irish people. It’s a time when America knows what’s going on in Ireland. What’s going on in Ireland is a tragedy. Our government is a government with zero action and zero accountability.”

As for his combat career, McGregor has long been promoting his return to the Octagon after his first attempt last June came to an unfortunate end due to a training injury.

In April, McGregor said he would only return to the fight for an event that takes place in a massive stadium.

“I’m back at the stadium,” he wrote in an X’s post after WrestleMania 41 held at Allegianto Stadium in Las Vegas.

McGregor, 36, last fought in 2021, losing to Dustin Poirier after breaking his leg during the fight. He was scheduled to fight Michael Chandler at UFC 303 in June, but the fight was cancelled after breaking his toe during training.
